Interview with Galleryone962

How did you begin your journey into the art world?

I have been painting since my youth. I have always been engaged with art in its many forms, including performing arts, photography, and ceramics. Due to my profession and family, art could not always take the place I wished for. However, when my life became calmer, I was finally able to fully dedicate myself first to photography and eventually to abstract painting.

Where do you draw inspiration for your abstract works?

I work mostly intuitively, letting myself be guided by spontaneous ideas and the moment. I often start with a rough concept, but it can completely change throughout the creative process.

How do you choose colors, shapes, and structures for your works?

Nature is a great source of inspiration for me. It often gives me impulses for colors and shapes. Structures arise either deliberately or by chance, and I decide intuitively how to build upon them.

What techniques do you use to bring your creations to life?

I enjoy working with mixedmedia techniques as they offer me a wide range of possibilities. In addition to classic materials, I also use found objects from „lost places,“ everyday life, or nature. Experimentation is an essential part of my work—I simply love trying out new things.

Do you identify with any particular movement or artistic style?

Not really. I consciously avoid committing to one specific style because I am constantly evolving. A rigid classification would feel like a straitjacket to me, limiting my curiosity and my desire to try new things.

What does your creative process look like? Do you follow a strict plan, or do instinct and feeling guide your work?

I am mainly guided by my ideas and intuition. There are moments when I have a plan, but it rarely takes priority. If I plan too much, the liveliness that is so important to my art is often lost.

What message do you want to convey through your works?

My art covers different themes, each with its own message. The series „Ocean in Motion“ is aimed at people who love the sea and the color blue. „Emotions“ is more profound, encouraging reflection on human existence and feelings. With „Lost Places“, I combine photography and painting to capture transience and the stories of abandoned places. My current theme revolves around growth and transformation, which offers me a lot of creative space.

What are your goals or wishes as an abstract artist?

Painting itself is already a fulfillment for me—it brings me joy and keeps me in the present moment. However, I also find the interaction with people who view my work particularly fascinating. Their associations and emotions add a new dimension to my art.

Do you have any future projects or dreams you would like to share?

I do not have a fixed goal in mind—for me, the journey is the goal. However, I do not simply drift aimlessly; I adapt my activities to the current circumstances. If my works evoke emotions or inspiration in people, that is the greatest fulfillment for me. And even though I keep achieving this goal, my journey will never end.
